The Respiratory Care Department at NCCH delivers comprehensive, consistent, state-of-the art pulmonary services to patients. Respiratory care assists in improving pulmonary function and quality of life for many people. Our services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to patients ranging in age from newborn to seniors. Every member of the respiratory care team holds national certification/registration and is licensed by the State of Arizona as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. We offer a full continuum of care, ranging from diagnostic testing, Emergency Department care, inpatient and outpatient procedures and education. Our respiratory care staff also provides the following therapeutic services to its patients: Bronchodilator Therapy Pulmonary Hygiene Therapy Invasive mechanical ventilation Non-invasive mechanical ventilation Oxygen therapy Arterial Blood Gas Analysis Chest Physiotherapy Neonatal ServicesOther services include: Non-invasive oxygen monitoring, patient assessment, ambulation assist, internal/external patient transportation, sputum induction and bronchoscopy assist. At Northern Cochise Community Hospital, the most advanced treatments are used to manage conditions, alleviate symptoms and, in some cases, cure patients.
